Uprent Raises €600,000 to Build a Full AI Real Estate Agent
Uprent has raised €600,000 in seed funding from Angel Invest Ventures and a group of business angels. The round will fund further development of the company’s AI real estate agent and its expansion across the Netherlands, building on the €200,000 pre-seed raise that first put Uprent on the map in 2024.
From browser extension to full AI agent
When we last checked in with Yury Vilenskiy, Uprent was a browser extension that helped home seekers filter listings by commute time. That extension has since grown into a full AI real estate agent, built for both sides of a rental deal instead of one.
For home seekers, Uprent now monitors listings and submits applications the moment they go live, closing the gap between a property appearing online and a serious application landing in the right inbox. For landlords, it publishes properties across major listing platforms and pulls every enquiry into a single dashboard. From there, the AI follows up with applicants, confirms genuine interest, gathers the details landlords actually need, and screens candidates against the landlord’s own criteria before anyone has to have the same conversation twice.
“Home seekers spend their evenings refreshing property websites, while landlords spend theirs sorting through enquiries,” says Vilenskiy. “Much of that work is repetitive: finding a match, sending an application, asking about income or following up. That’s what we’re building our AI agent to handle.”
A round built on two-sided proof
The 2024 raise was about proving the search experience worked. This one is about a product that now has to satisfy two very different users at once: home seekers who want speed, and landlords who want reliable screening. Angel Invest Ventures backing the round, alongside a group of business angels, is a sign that the two-sided model is starting to hold up under real scrutiny.
Vilenskiy is an alumnus of Forward·Inc’s Investor Readiness Program (IR), where founders sharpen their pitch, build an investor network and prepare to raise in front of a live audience. That same preparation shows here. Vilenskiy could explain, plainly, why the money mattered and what it was for.
What comes next
Uprent’s ambition stretches beyond the search itself. The team is working towards an agent that can support the entire rental journey, from a home seeker’s first search through to a signed tenancy agreement. The new funding goes towards building that out and bringing more home seekers, landlords and property professionals onto the platform.
